Start Your Adoption Journey
Our adoption application is the first step. It helps us understand your home, experience, and care plans.
Is a Rabbit or Guinea Pig Right for You?
🏠 Space, Not Cages
Rabbits and guinea pigs cannot live cage-only. They need at least 24 sq ft (rabbits) or 10.5 sq ft (guinea pig pairs) of continuous, open space to run, hop, and explore daily. This might be an exercise pen, a room, or a bunny-proofed space — but it's non-negotiable.
📅 Long-Term Commitment
Rabbits live 8–12 years and guinea pigs 5–7 years. This is a decade-long commitment to food, housing, vet care, and daily attention.
👥 Social Creatures
Many rabbits and guinea pigs need a bonded buddy. Loneliness is a welfare issue. Some animals will be bonded pairs — they must stay together.
If these are not feasible for your home, that's okay — it's better to know now. But if you're ready to commit, we'd love to talk more.
